Does prayer do anything?

This is one of my biggest wrestles! ⬇️

Does prayer actually do anything?

Here’s the tension:

✅ Jesus tells us to ask, seek, knock. Prayer is powerful.

✅ But prayer isn’t about twisting God’s arm, He’s not a genie. Even Jesus prayed, ‘Not my will, but Yours be done.’

So which is it?

Well. Somehow.

It’s truly Both. 🌱🤍

Prayer changes us. And mysteriously, in God’s wisdom, it also changes things.

What anchors me regardless the outcome is God’s character: He is loving, good, sovereign. My prayers matter…AND no matter the outcome I can trust His character and the fact that His view is greater than mine.

Prayer will always be a wrestle. But it’s also the place where we learn, again and again, to trust the One who hears.
