How do I get my love for the Bible back?

Rekindling Your Love for the Bible 🔥⬇️

1. Release the guilt.

Seasons of dryness don’t make you a bad Christian, they make you a growing one. Throughout Scripture, God meets His people in their dryness with compassion, not condemnation.

2. Start small again.

Don’t dive back into huge reading plans. Choose a short book (Philippians, James, Ruth, 1 John) or a single Psalm a day. Let your heart breathe.

3. Read relationally, not academically.

Ask: “Holy Spirit, show me something about Your heart,” instead of “What should I learn today?”

Make Scripture a conversation, not an expectation.

4. Shift your pace.

Slow Scripture is often better than more Scripture.

Try reading one verse out loud. Sit with a phrase.

Let wonder be rekindled, not rushed.

5. Read with someone.

Sometimes love returns through community. Share one passage each week with a friend, mentor, or small group.

6. Remember the purpose.

The Bible is not the finish line, Jesus is.

Scripture is the place we meet Him, learn His voice, and see His heart.

Reading our Bible doesn’t earn our salvation, Jesus paid the price and the Bible is our chance to grow in our relationship with our Lord and Savior 🌱🤍

Prayer to close:

“God, restore my wonder. Open my eyes again. Meet me in Your Word with gentleness and joy.”
